A bit of a mixed bag from jones tonight.
Thought fleck should have received a yellow for first half foul
on mcginn.
Bryan was lucky not to concede a penalty on watkins with a barge
in the back.
Mcgoldrick could have seen a second yellow just before he was
subbed.
A couple of goal kicks given instead of corners.
A foul given against konsa when he should have been awarded a
free kick.
Jones still struggling with his positioning on a few occasions,
not a disastrous performance but somethings to work on, which
will easily be overcome with a more regular run of games.
Initially i thought yellow for jagielka, but when var
intervened, i think like edy it was a red as the attacker
Would have had chance to take a shot at goal prior to another
defender intervening. Not sure it was a clear and obvious error
and with different officials on another day yellow wouldnt have
been overturned.
Thought villa were poor in the last third, crossing was woeful
as well as the final ball and finishing.
Sheff utd deserved the win, they had more desire. I feared villa
would lose this game a few days ago.

Dogso?
You can dismiss for serious foul play.
The defender has lunged, thats undeniable. At speed, lunge,
did not play the ball. Excessive force, no
Endangers safety of opponent, Yes.
You are justified with a dismissal for serious foul play.
For dogso, it fails on the obvious part for me.

Totally agree, no way this is VAR stuff for me, I think the
intervention is wrong, however I do personally think DOGSO is a
better call, very much up to the referee though, yellow was
acceptable.

Saw it on SSN
Red is correct IMO
Could have been DOGSO or SFP
Not sure what the fuss is about

i didnt watch the game but saw the highlights,
i thought originally yellow but as soon he is sent over by
Graham Scott to look at it, it was going to be upgraded.
the check was for DOGSO not SFP, and i think he got it right. I
don't think he got it wrong at full speed but that is what VAR
is there for: to overturn wrong decisions and to get it right.
IMO it was used correctly

thought rob had a decent game last night, picked up on the
players who were going to ground to easily who quickly got up
when they realised they were not getting a foul, several
incidents that could have gone either way, but apart from them a
decent performance from him, 1st impression of the foul was a
least sfp, but after watching the replay the dogso was the
correct decision,
