Rob Jones - Sheff Utd v Villa

What the actual fizz is he thinking there with that red card
decision. Utterly bizarre, unexplainable, embarrassing. There is
no conceivable way you could possibly get to that decision.
It’s a shame because he’s been relatively good other than that.
Bizarre brain fade moment.

I didn't watch the game. Just saw the clip on YouTube. Didn't
look like DOGSO to me..

Not the best decision IMO. Can’t really see how that as a DOGSO.
But just imagine if Lee Mason had made the decision.....
probably be 50+ comments condemning it by now

Of course it wasn't. Perfectly acceptable decision until VAR
decided to get in on the act.

Once Big Brother has got involved (like the red card scandal at
Fulham v West Ham) then it’s curtains for the player
unfortunately..
Some VAR interventions have been appalling this season.

Looks like DOGSO to me. I'd be surprised if the other defender
would have been able to get back to make a challenge before the
attacker had an OGSO.

Second angle is the clincher for me, shows how far away the
other defender is (i.e. not even in the camera shot)

I don't know if VAR intervention is within the protocol in
regards with a "clear and obvious error" but it's DOGSO for me.

Agree, once a foul is given there it has to be DOGSO. I can
understand why it wasn't given real time, but the only covering
defender is on the opposite side of the penalty area and has
little or no chance of covering.
