       P BANKES - Leeds v Villa

       Not impressed with tonight’s offerings at Elland Road.
       Matt Targett should have been sent off for two yellows after
       charging into Hernandez from behind with a raised arm.
       Some other decisions which were odd, and Leeds could have had a
       penalty in the last minute when Targett wrestled a Leeds player
       to the floor.
       I just got the feeling he didn’t have control of proceedings
       strongly enough.

       I try my best not to judge anyone, but Bankes just never seems
       to improve. Shocking decision making and seems very, very weak.
       For a ref who is notorious for loving his yellow cards, his
       reluctance to show them when clear fouls were being made is
       poor. As mentioned, how Targett finished the game is beyond me.
       He should have seen at least 4 yellows today, and that was
       before pulling Bamford down in the box at the end.

       From a villa perspective, i would say not bankes finest hour and
       a half.
       Villa very lucky on numerous occasions both with decision making
       and non production of cards.
       I suggested he would have his hands full on the appointments
       thread earlier in the week.

       Completely agree with the previous posts. I thought Bankes was
       poor today. How does he deserve a FIFA badge when you think of
       the refs of old who did not.

       He's not a FIFA ref as far as I'm aware.
