Oh dear god.....
I’m lost for words.
What an absolute shambles for Dunk’s shot with the free kick.
VAR still checking.
Surely Lee Mason knows if he blew the whistle before the FK was
taken!!

An absolute shambles of the highest order there, I’m not exactly
sure what VAR Hooper was doing either.
The blame is squarely at Mason’s door, and he looked totally
lost when the goal went in.
Absolute pathetic.

It seems Mason didn’t blow the whistle though the commentators
said he DID blow it and the evidence seems to show that he DID
blow it before Dunk struck it
I have never seen such farcical officiating at such a high
level. Rabbit in headlights describes Lee Mason on that
incident

That goal should have stood 100% His incompetence shows no
bounds... to claim he didn't blow the whistle in the first
place... (edited. Personal insults not acceptable)

They’ve just replayed it - he did blow the whistle for them to
take it.

He clearly blows the whistle, and the second blast comes as the
ball is over the line.. he awards the goal and VAR decide that
the ball didn't cross the line.. (edited. Comment on the
referees performance NOT the person)it's that simple

If he blew the whistle it should be goal.
If he didn’t it’s no goal. Pretty simple really!
How an Select Group 1 official can’t get that right is
ridiculous.

I would say he should be demoted to SG2 - but I wouldn’t wish
that on the poor sods in League 2
