Before the "new" rules it would have been a goal-kick, so not
much difference.

Law 9.1
The ball is out of play when:
•
ground or in the air
•
•
o
o
o
In all these cases, play is restarted with a dropped ball.
The ball didn't remain in play. The correct restart is a goal
kick.
If the ball had gone in the net would it have been a contested
drop ball or would it have been an uncontested drop ball to the
attacking team as they played the ball last?
There are no contested dropped balls anymore. As the last touch
was in the penalty area, it would have been a dropped ball to
the defending team's goalkeeper.

It remained in play as much as it would have if it had gone
directly into the goal. How can that second option occur ?
I guess that means if a shot has gone into the goal, having just
brushed the referee without changing direction or speed, instead
of a goal the keeper is gifted the ball. Nice one, whoever
thought that one up.

There was something rather sexy about him despite his Count
Dracula appearance! Just saying!!! Yes I do admit to a very
questionable taste in men at the best of times!! [emoji23]

It was in Hungary for hundreds of years and then came the
Trianon treaty and Hungary lost 66% of its land... Transylvania
& Szeklerland may well be in Romania geographically thanks to
Trianon but they are both full of ethnic Hungarians. Count
Dracula was actually Székely descended from Attila the Hun &
therefore Hungarian not Romanian!
