Chris Kavanagh - Liverpool v Everton

Was having a very good game but has made possible the worst
penalty call of all time. VAR calls him to monitor and he
should’ve bailed out.
Embarrassing call. Where the hell does he get a penalty out of?
Trent Alexander Arnold has nowhere to go. Shocking call

For me a supportable penalty. Interesting how quick Kavanagh was
at the screen

Shocking decision. Cursory glance at the screen. Once again VAR
in disrepute. Kavanagh clearly was not going to change is
decision.

Are you having a laugh with a “supportable penalty”? That’s not
a penalty in a million years and borders on incompetent

Not sure how you get a penalty out of that! If anything it
should be a free kick to Liverpool. Alexander-Arnold was laying
on the group before being clobbered on the back of the head by
Calvert-Lewin!!
Shocking decision - and to make it worse the arrogant way he
"consulted" the monitor without giving it any proper
consideration has only gone to make himself look even worse with
that decision imo.

Agreed no penalty, but as he has given it on review why not a
DOGSO?
Although that would be pouring salt in the wounds.

No I'm not particularly having a laugh, I'm expressing my
opinion just as you did.
It would be boring on here if we all agreed!

How exactly is VAR “in disrepute” (to use such a fragrant term)?
They stopped the game, said they were doing a check, then said
to the Referee to go to the screen to check the footage. It’s
not their fault that the Referee then proceeded not to change
his decision.
What do you expect they could do in that situation - Neil
Swarbrick to march out to the middle of Anfield with a pistol
and force Kavanagh to change his decision at gunpoint?

Shocking decision but amusing that Liverpool on the wrong end of
a shocker.
Cavanagh didn't even seem to look at the incident at the screen
he was so quick, never seen anything so fast!!
Corrected your 'spelling' - this is a referee forum, we don't do
club bias on here, we are meant to be fair & impartial. You can
go to a fans forum for that side of it. bmb

Why didn’t the VAR just tell him he’s got it completely wrong?
Appalling decision made worse by incompetence from the VAR.
Calvert-Lewin’s momentum took him into a grounded defender.
A Level 7 in the Wigan Amateur League would be embarrassed
making a decision as bad as that.
