I would be amazed if Sian, like any other top AR, weren't very
disappointed.
On the other subject of Mr Atkinson (or any other Referee) being
'livid' I find it highly unlikely, they are integral parts of a
very supportive team who will probably have been dug out of the
brown and fragrant by an AR more than enough times in the past

When Reece James received the ball he was 31 yards from goal and
Sian was level with him. He then moved 24 yards in 2.5 seconds
before releasing the ball to Abrahams who was behind the ball.
Reece James was travelling at 19.64 mph. In order to keep up
with him Sian would have had to be travelling at the same speed.
Bear in mind that Dina Asher-Smith is the English record holder
over 100 metres and travelled at 20.66 mph to achieve that
record and she was fresh when she did it.
Have a look how far some of the Barnsley defenders are behind
Reece James when he releases the ball and it puts everything in
perspective, particularly when Sian was possibly nowhere near 6
yards behind as has been stated.

Can we maybe stick all ARs in some kind of shopping trolley type
vehicle on rails powered by a few V8 castoff engines from
Mercedes F1 - which can be controlled from the ATC (Assistant’s
Trolley Control) room at Stockley Park?

If I may......the goal was scored from just outside the 6 yard
box
The AR was, at best, in line with the pen spot. ( AR is not as
close to goal line as spot)
This is factual.
Goal, 6.5 yards out...AR, just over 12.5 yards out, equals,
minimum of 6 yards

Are we still going on about this.
I would imagine Sian will be disappointed but her decision to
keep her flag down, whether by luck or not, was correct.
It didn’t affect the outcome of the match.
She is still one of the best AR’s in the country.
I’m sure most referees would be overjoyed to have her as an
assistant.

Unbelievable !!
Might I ask what is behind your one person crusade to discredit
this Assistant - one of the better ones?
Her crime ? Making a perfectly correct decision from a slightly
less than optimum position.
For goodness sake, some of the Assistants can't even get it
right when they're bang in line.
My advice, which something tells me you are unlikely to heed, is
to do us all a favour and let it go.
