Kevin Friend - Sheffield United v Chelsea

So Kevin Friend misses a clear Chelsea penalty. No problem. The
VAR decides it a penalty.. Well how Kevin misses it himself is
beyond me... by anyways.. How hasn't the keeper been carded?
Whether its yellow or red is up for debate, but no card at all..
Shocker

K A FRIEND - Sheffield U v Chelsea

Surprised Friend didn’t produce any card for Ramsdale when he
cleaned out Werner.
I’m very surprised it also went to VAR given Eddie Smart had a
fairly clear view of it.
At least we aren’t talking about any dross from VAR “so far”
today....

I need to cut Kevin a bit of slack there.. He is on the halfway
line so he mightn't have seen it.. His assistant should flag.

From memory, he did look towards his assistant but then
continued the game until the next stoppage because he did not
receive a flag.

It wasn’t a foul, friend made the correct decision.
VAR however is a load of toss

Agree with you both. Friend was, reasonably, a long way from
play, it was a case where his assistant should have made the
call. Fortunately VAR got it right.
I was also surprised at no card, for me it was a yellow for SPA
no attempt to play the ball, not DOGSO IMO.

As with the Liverpool penalty against Manchester City, SPA when
a penalty is awarded is no longer a yellow card offence.
