Well done to Mike Adamson for being the first Scotsman in 19
years to receive a 6 Nations game. Luke Pearce has done well
out of these appointments in particular.

Makes sense to bring Jaco in as he didnt get to do any Tri
Nations games (even if it means we get him again)
Good strong English contingent. Pleased for Adamson. Brace with
two and the French picking up the rest.
Lets hope games will be played in front of a live audience,
however many it can be.

Would have liked to see Dickson get a game. Why 2 for both
Carley and Pearce? I still don’t really rate Carley I have to
say
Good to see Brace get a couple of games and we’ll done Mike
Adamson.
Gauzere for the Wales game and Peyper for France - could it get
any worse?

Agree wholeheartedly about Dickson. Carley was good in Champions
Cup last 2 weekends.
In current international terms Gauzerre and Peyper is about as
low as it gets. An irratic Poite is not much fun but he seems to
have settled back into steady Romain.
Obviously it would have been good to get the Tasman boys up but
too soon for that.

Plenty of discussion points, such as
1. Will be Wales's turn to take up to 19 years to provide an
international referee post-Owens, similar to Scotland
post-Fleming?
2. Dickson's France v Wales game in Autumn didn't seem to have
any controversy but something has flowed through to 6N
appointments.
3. Poite wasn't "put on the naughty step" after the Wales v
England "tackle in the air" argument with his TMO & ARs.
4. Will the SA officials be able to travel &, if they can't,
what the alternate options are.
5. The use of active referees as TMOs.
6. The seemingly avoidable appointments of referees to referee
the same team more than once.
7. The non-use of Scottish ARs / partial use of
Italian/Irish/Welsh ARs / over-use of English & French ARs

I actually think they postponed the Euro games to give more time
and space for 6N to happen.

I humbly disagree. Euro games have been called off as French
government wouldn’t let any of their teams travel, or receive
guests, for the whole of January. Due to “COVID l’Anglais”!
EPC Rugby either had to throw out all the French sides, or
postpone in the hope they can be played later in the season. I
guess this will very much depend on whether the B&I Lions tour
takes place, which at this moment looks very much in doubt.
