Penalty to Luton and dismissal of Boro player, not seenthe
incident so cant comment.
However I have seen the aftermath, penalty taken and its a clear
double touch by the penalty taker, the referee gives the goal
when he is 5 yards away and looking at it.
Boro players go mad and eventually it is disallowed, on the say
so of the Assistant, dont know his name.
Am I right in thinking this double touch penalty has happenned
to Boro this season?

Yes, Marcus Tavernier took a penalty for Boro against Norwich
and the goal was ruled out which was costly as Pukki came off
the bench and scored a penalty for Norwich ---sometime in
November I think.

Repost from the appointments thread...
Andy Davies and Akil Howson up at Middlesbrough - James Collins
scores what looks like a legitimate penalty for Luton.
However after protests from the Middlesbrough players and
manager (Neil Warnock), they forced them to change their
decision for kicking the ball twice! They initially appeared to
accept it as a good goal and took around 1-2 mins to sort out.
On replay it looks like it was the correct decision however the
assistant is looking at the goalkeeper and the referee the
players encroachment... how the hell can they say with any
confidence that it was a double hit. Pure guesswork. The process
to get to the decision is totally wrong.

It looked very messy imo. But overall they came to the correct
decision, What baffles me is that it took so long to come to
that conclusion.
