Agree with you readingfan, i thought it was the var
responsibility to check everything when a goal is scored, not
just the offside, in case any infringement has taken place that
the on field officials may have missed.
I can see why the on field officials missed it.
Dermot gallacher intiimated on sky sports tue am, an extra
appearance, that the var deemed it was not a foul.

I think that only relates to the attacking team though, so a
reason that would see the goal disallowed. They aren't looking
for offences by defending players and I honestly don't know if
they are allowed to do anything about it if they did see
anything.
