Leeds programmes v WBA 24/08/1966 & 27/08/1966 both show J. Bell
& L.N. Douglas as linesmen, it's doubtful in those days so if
anyone can clarify this be most appreciated
Same situation arised Sheffield United away 27/03/1967 and
return match the following day C.M. Smith & J. Yates in both
programmes, it is possible due to being Yorkshire derby but
different refs W. Crossley at Bramall Lane & S.J. Kayley at
Elland Road

D.J. Lyden I have as ref back to back games from various sources
old newspapers and programmes 23/03/1968 Leeds v Man City &

United
Possibly correct if one was a postponed game as the referee
would have stayed with the match
but looking at this closer I think the latter date should be 6th
April and so was not a re-arranged game

29.11. 1967: Partizan vs Leeds U.
Referee: Doǧan Babacan; Linesmen: Macit Sarıdana &
Talas Müşfik [Turkey]
Oddly enough, I saw the game in December 1968 between Leeds U.
and Hannover 96. The programme did indeed give no information
about the match officials, and memories of stadium announcements
from 52 years ago may carry little weight, but for what it's
worth, memory and some digging around suggest that one of the
linesmen may have been José Ruiz Cassasola.
