Pity there seems to be far more emphasis these days in looking
for reasons to disallow goals rather than awarding them. That
incident apart though, it appeared to be a fairly incident free
game with Atkinsons low key and cardless approach paying off.

And only 3 minutes additional time played.
I thought it was the correct decision even though Leno was never
going to save that shot even if he could see it!!

The irony of this one was that without VAR, even if the match
officials were sure Barkley was offside and directly in the line
of sight of Leno, there is no way it would be given as there was
no reaction from Leno. Most referees cover this in the
pre-match instructions, but VAR obviously don't take player
reaction into account.
