Nothing to do with VAR - or indeed football - but this reminds
me of a former work colleague named Richard Malone, whose
nickname at school was apparently "Sufficient" by virtue of this
       hymn...

latter-day Isaac Watts would have been a Crystal Palace
supporter, addressing Partick Bamford with the lines

I always felt reassured when we had this hymn on a Sunday where
City were playing "..and our defence is sure." - was much needed
       last season!
The cat's away this week so I might try and slip in a postlude
with a bit more of Vincent, our previous organist - the problem
is that most of the recordings I have of him have lots of
congregational noise but I might be able to find 60 seconds of
either the "Raider's March" or the theme from "Last of the
Summer Wine". I don't know whether you realised that the
Savannah Jazz Band we have used a couple of times come from
Yorkshire - they used to visit us when they came to a Jazz
Festival in Dumfries - the guy who plays bass is a City
       supporter.

our lowly level I always ask Assistants for a quick flag in

Peter Walton takes about balance - keeping going in case of a
goal which can then be checked. Sorry but players safety is far
more important than whether a goal is scored or not!
[/quote] I've listened to Peter Walton a few
times............what a wet weekend! Talks total rubbish or sits
on the fence and says nothing
