I recall an absolutely outstanding Ipswich v Crewe match, some
16 and a bit years ago. It finished 6-4 with David Crick having
little to do other than keep score.
It was one of his last few League matches although he did get to
do Crewe one more time when they lost 4-2 at West Ham.

I was more pleased to note the appointment, on Halloween Day, of
the Amazing Mr Blunden to run one of the lines at Roots Hall.
(However amazing he might be I was surprised to see him listed
as senior to Alasdair Ross.)

I am pleased to say that Mr Kettle had another uneventful visit
to Portman Road. A handful of YCs but all correct.
Quite a fast flowing game but he performed well and fitness was
not a factor. I mention this only as , from time to time, his
build is mentioned on here!!
