Is the referee in the England game trying to make a name for
       himself?

Aside from the disallowed goal, which is arguably more his fault
than the assistant's, he didn't get much wrong at all.

Perhaps the change of law has something to do with it, but I'd
be fuming if I'd have been penalised for either penalty,
especially the handball. The Gomez penalty was soft and I can
kind of understand why he gave it, but I thought it was more of
a coming together. Thought it was a classic case of levelling up
       a previous mistake.

5 September 2020, 15:00 CET - Skopje (National Arena Todor
       Proeski)
       North Macedonia - Armenia
       Referee: Irfan Peljto (BIH)
Assistant Referee 1: Senad Ibrisimbegović (BIH)
Assistant Referee 2: Davor Beljo (BIH)
       Fourth Official: Admir Šehović (BIH)
UEFA Referee Observer: Aleh Chykun (BLR)
       UEFA Delegate: Pavel Kolev (BUL)
Don’t ask why I watched this game but glad I did!!
Never heard of seen anything about the referee but he looks
       young - can’t be much over 30!!
A terrific display: fully in control, excellent judgement of
fouls. Good rapport with players. All 3 penalties spot on. Don’t
know what level he’s at but I think he could well go much
       further!!

Edy mentioned a while back to keep an eye on Peljto... he
appears to be a star in the making.

Pejito impressed me on the last edition of UEFA U19 Final
Tournament. He even handled the final. A referee who is quite
modern but isn't afraid to use cautions. A real talent. I hope
to see him in Elite in a couple of seasons (he is currently 1st
       Group).

I am sure Mr Deaconu will be happy with what he saw out on the
pitch from this youngish ref this evening. Barely even noticed
he was on the pitch. Did get in the way a couple of times and
had to jump over the ball but I can't think of any decisions
that I thought were poor or completely wrong. He was helped by 2
overall well behaved teams more interested in playing the game
than seeing who could get away with the most gamesmanship! It
made for a good game to watch. Well Hungary's defending at times
wasn't quite so good to watch granted but that's not the refs
fault! Russia fully deserving of their win but a promising 2nd
       half performance from Hungary.
As an aside he can definitely be added to the list of potentials
for bmb's top ref totty!! ;D
