at all. In another era I would have put him on a par with Brian

of the ordinary. What the heck do I know.?

I have 'liked' this rather than 'agreed' because I am not sure
I'd be quite as generous as Whistleblower. My recollection of
both Messrs Baker and Daniels would put them rather higher in
the pecking order than Jon Moss although I'm pretty sure that
neither ever got as much as a sniff at a semi final, let alone a
       final.

Daniels and Baker ended up at opposite ends of the assessing
scale. Ken was always very thorough but fair, mentioning things
to generate thought, without it necessarily affecting your mark.
Mr Daniels was very much a member of the "hatchet" brigade, who
enjoyed pointing out areas of weakness and failure, without
       always providing a solution

Sian Massey-Ellis has not done the FA Cup Final. She lined on
the FA Trophy Final a few years back. She would be the first
woman to officiate at a FA Cup Final. Wendy Toms was on the line
for the League Cup Final back in 2000.

I think Lee Mason will get the final, or possibly Graham Scott
       as an outside bet
I think Pawson/Tierney/Kavanagh/Attwell will be saved for when
fans are back in the stadiums. They've still (hopefully) got
       many years left.

League Cup and FA Cup in the same season? Not unprecedented-
Alan Wiley certainly did it- but unusual. Although Keith Hackett
seems pretty certain that Mason will get the FA Cup Final.

Wasn't the only reason Alan Wiley did the FA Cup Final in the
same year because Mike Dean was withdrawn, being felt to be too
       close geographically to Liverpool?
Interestingly, are Kavanagh, Tierney and Mason all still based
in Greater Manchester although I'm not sure which local
       association they are registered with.
Whether there will be a Manchester team in the Final remains to
be seen, and would the location of the referee still be a
consideration anyway? They all referee Manchester teams in the
       PL, as does Taylor.

Is that perhaps also indicative of the fact that Mr Baker went
on to become Rev’d Baker and maybe took a more Christian
       approach to his assessing?

Mason refereed City in the Carabao Cup Final.

Based on his food deliveries during lockdown, Chris Kavanagh is
based in Lancashire. He may still be registered with Manchester
       FA though.
