I thought I was going to be able to help here, having seen a Mr
Pritchard at Selhurst Park in the mid-1960s. Sadly it was Reg
Prichard (without a 'T') of Salisbury rather than D Pritchard of
Blackpool. I recall I was underwhelmed by Reg's performance,
which was perhaps reflected that he only spent three seasons on
the list. I think we had some discussion about Pritchard and
Prichard on the old RTR site some while back but it may have
just been about different spellings of surnames rather than
details of the 'D' in Pritchard. Sorry John, I cannot help here.

Apparently, Mr CH Rogers was Charles
Not sure about the others
Out of interest, do you have a list of the others, for which you
do have first names?

Both Messrs.Pritchard and Robinson officiated at Park Avenue.The
former was bald/head shaven?-the latter I have completely
forgotten.Neither stayed long on the list and I suspect were not
reappointed after a couple of years.I cannot remember any
noteworthy incidents concerning either.
No info.re Mr Hawcroft-S.Yks so not at P.A.In fact I do not
remember the name.
I do remember Mr Rodgers but West Yorkshire was too far north in
those days for most southern referees.

A Dennis Pritchard appears in the 1969 Preston area phone book
on Ancestry and the address (156 Clifton Drive, Blackpool)
agrees with the one for D Pritchard in the FL yearbooks. Looks
like our man.

ive found record of an A.Hawcroft as a referee in the Sheffield
district leagues in late 50's hes listed as being from
Kilnhurst, dont know if that will offer any help in tracing him

Though billed as from Rotherham the A. Hawcroft who was a
Football League linesman / referee did live in Kilnhurst.

Kilnhurst is not very far from Rotherham.
I wonder if anyone has any record of matches refereed by
A.Hawcraft?I have absolutely no recollection of this name.He did
not appear as a linesman at Bradford from 1956 onwards in the
matches that I saw and S.Yorks linesmen were often found in the
West Riding in those days.
I do remember the other 3 names on John Treleaven's list,but
this guy is a real mystery to me.

ive found an arthur hawcroft refereeing a district match from
kilnhurst too much of a coincidence?
there is also evidenceof an arthur hawcroft residing in
Kilnhurst 1955
