Championship queries

Penalty given by Tim Robinson at Brentford? Soft is not even
close, I thought it was a dive
Penalty given by Steve Martin at Preston? Also soft, came on the
back of a strong appeal for a penalty moments earlier
Free kick on edge of box given by Jeremy Simpson at Wigan? At
least a foot inside the penalty area
Offside decision by Scott Ledger at Charlton, very tight, camera
angle above suggested level. Certainly no benefit given to
attacking team
(Good handball given by Marriner)
As discussed elsewhere penalty for handball Friday night - could
the player have done anything different? No pen for me

I'll be interested to see if the FA take a look at the Brentford
one. It looked like simulation to me.

The other interesting decision was the no goal in Nottingham v
QPR for the moving ball. BBC reported the ball outside the
quadrant but looking at the replay it was for the ball moving.
Its' technical but correct and the footage of Robert Jones
explaining the decision looked very professional.

Agreed
Don’t think either of the pens at Brentford!

The usual suspects making poor decisions in the championship.
How Simpson has maintained his position is baffling.

I certainly agree with you about the penalty incident at Wigan.
Not even close to the edge of the area. Did Jeremy Simpson not
get some help from his AR on the right hand side of the area?
Should certainly have been seen by the AR if he was in line with
play.
Inclined to agree on the incidents at Preston and Charlton
although not as clear cut as Wigan. Interesting about the moving
ball at Forest. The strong wind was obviously playing havoc with
the ball but yes, it was correct in law to disallow the goal and
order the corner to be re-taken.
