Not sure I understand this. When was Oliver supposed to have
seen the incident? I'm very surprised if with his angle and
distance, and the position of the players, he claims he saw it
clearly at the time. I thought no retrospective punishment
applied if any of the officials saw it. To my mind, the AR on
that side had a much better chance of seeing the incident
clearly than Oliver. I take it from this that it wasn't VAR who
changed their mind about no RC and it was the PGMOL who stepped
in to state they had got it wrong.
What a mess, and apparently there was more controversy in the
3pm games.

David Coote needs to open up more and make brave decisions but
he always looks weak whenever he referees.

The real rubbish is the amount of rubbish people speak about on
here. These officials are fully paid professionals who aren't
good enough or fit for purpose. Coote is a disaster of an
official.. And once again I question what is Adam Nunn's role in
all this? Surely he is there to support the officials not make
them look like idiots. If you weren't doing you job properly in
life you would be sacked. I don't see why the same shouldn't be
the case for this untouchables. But how dare I have an opinion.
Absolute tripe with the video technology that people can stand
over these type of decisions.. As the fella said Steve Wonder
would have seen that.

AVAR (Adam Nunn) takes over watching the live game whilst the
VAR (David Coote) reviews incidents is how I was told it works

I’m talking about VAR, its incompetent operators in tracksuits
in a room miles away from the stadia and Riley himself.
The integrity of the beautiful game is rapidly going to the
dogs...
