know a lot about him. Seemed to of had more L1 games then L2,
which could be a good indication. Did wonder if it would go to a
more experienced National List official, because it is likely to
have a big bearing on who possibly get's automatics come May.

Agreed, this is a crucial game, more so after tonight's results.
I sincerely hope Tom NIeld and his team have a good game.

He appears to be getting some good appointments, so lets hope
the game goes well for him ,both teams will try to play football
and it should be a good game, with several ex Crewe players in
the Plymouth squad.
I am sure he wont be as bad Antony Coggins who refereed at Crewe
on Tuesday night, in which he gave a very poor performance, he
did book 5 players, but the worse tackle of the match made on a
Crewe player in front of both the Assistant and 4th official
was a two footed tackle for which he only admonished the player,
with neither helping the referee. He seemed to lack confidence
and appeared that on this performance he was not good enough to
referee at EFL Level.

Mr Breakspear was at Portman Road only five weeks ago. Just the
two yellow cards that afternoon.
[/quote]
There are loads of referees; there is no reason why a club
should have anyone, let alone Charles Breakspear, twice in four
home games. Lazy appointing.

Indeed. Kettle back at Southend isn’t good news for them.

Not at all. Anything that can reduce the match to a lottery has
to be good for them in their current plight. I'm looking forward
to it in a perverse sort of way.

Mr Breakspear may have only issued two cards on his last visit
but it was not a particularly inspiring performance.
Odd though it may seem to many on here Mr Kettle is still one of
the better performers to be seen at Portman Road this season.

I don't find it quite as odd as you might imagine, having seen
every single one of the mostly wretched performances at Portman
Road this season. It's not as if I'm not used to League One and
Two referees, but they all seem to be saving their worst
performances for Ipswich.

Rochdale vs. Tranmere has bitten the dust. I suspect it won't be
the last game to fall foul of Dennis today.
Lots of non-League games off as well.

We really shouldn't give them names, it only encourages them!

Breakspear seems to mellow when he visits Portman Road. Only 2
cards to flash today, although that’s no indication if he was
good however!
Even more worthy of note... Kettle managed a clean sheet.

Alright admit it, who stole Mr Kettle's red and yellow cards
today at Grimsby.
Seriously though no cards today and a very good performance from
him.
