Oliver Langford - Nottingham Forest v Leeds

20 minutes into this game and it hasn't been the best of starts
from Mr Langford.. Four clear yellow card offences not given..
Two stonewall yellows for the same Leeds player and he didn't
give them. A strong penalty claim for Forest not giving and
replays have shown it's a clear spot kick.
I hope he gets better as the game goes on, but very poor start
from him.

Absolute rubbish from Langford so far and we finally see a card
on 35 minutes.
As rightly mentioned, at least four should be in the book prior
to the Dallas booking. It's no wonder things on the field are
getting tetchy.
A questionable decision to give Langford a big clash where he
appears out of his depth.

Agreed. Langford must have friends in high places as he keeps
picking up top matches and has even been talked about as a PL
trialist. But some, in fact most of his performances, leave much
to be desired so the trust in which he is held seems misplaced
to me.

I don't really know why he's getting games like this. I remember
him giving an awful penalty decision in a top of the table clash
earlier in the season. He's not someone I'd consider to be
amongst the best SG2 referees.

That will go down as one of the poorest performances of the
season.... but what will happen? He will probably get a Premier
game next week

A routine poor performance for Langford in my opinion. But he's
not alone, there are far too many poor performances just being
ignored by the powers that be. I personally can't see anything
improving with Riley at the helm.
