To clarify, if we think a referee's performance is less than
even-handed are we allowed to say so ?
Coggins has looked either incompetent or out of his depth or
both when I've seen him. However, I haven't yet had occasion to
question his impartiality.

We have to be very careful what we say on this site as it could
land the site in trouble, its a difficult one as accusing a
referee of cheating is libellious unless proven legally. But i
accept there can be that fine line. I personally would prefer
you to be cautious when saying that sort of thing.

I can concur that Mr. Coggins 'looks like a trainee teacher'
when I have seen him.
He is fine until an incident occurs then his approach varies
from strict to lax in a matter of moments, and he seems on the
edge of losing control, making inconsistent decisions.
Like a trainee teacher, he has the skills to the job, but needs
to put those skills to use and learn from the experiences.
I fear that if he has not learned sufficently after his first
seasons and is still making the same mistakes, and unless his
mentors assist him, he will have a short FL career.

I think opposing supporters might disagree with you about
Ferguson and Doncaster, and Peterborough before that.

It is worth noting that last season we were near the top of the
"Fair Play" table in League One. This year we are near the
bottom, despite not having a huge turnover in playing personnel.
The main difference is that we are picking up a lot of cards for
what might be called "tactical fouls" on players who are
breaking against us. Far too often last season we conceded
because opponents were allowed to run 40-50 yards without being
challenged, fairly or otherwise. That suggests a team that has
become more "streetwise" to me.

I saw Coggins once last season, and was ok. I don't like people
criticising refs integrity, as if you can do a better job go
sign up look many of us.

For the third time: It's not your criticism of his performance,
it's the criticism of his integrity that is frowned upon.
