involved in an internal investigation in 2013 after he allegedly
failed to take appropriate action on incidents of a racist
nature in a game involving CSKA Moscow (v Man City). A bit
ironic imo that this top game also involves CSKA :-[

He was cleared of that incident and IIRC the blame was put on
the match delegate.

Thank you for clarifying edy. I wish Mr Hategan all the best and
hope that he, and all the other UEFA officials out this week,
have good games. [emoji4]

Taylor with an important observer too... very surprised Pawson
isn't involved as a AAR given both elite officials are out.

I thought that Skomina was surprisingly poor on the Man city
game.

Only saw highlights and caught some of the radio commentary, but
agree Mr Skomina was below par. The challenge on Sane was a
clear penalty in my view and he was well positioned to make the
call, the radio was very critical of him insisting him a quickly
taken throw in from Silva be re-taken when he signalled. Pep
Guardiola's post match interview was very terse about the match
officials

And a clear red card for walker which he didn’t even blow for a
foul for about 25 seconds!

Some of the strangest decisions I've ever seen from a UEFA
official from Skomina. The list is literally too big to know
where to begin dissecting.
