Kassai has spent more time in Saudi this season than in Hungary
(well it feels that way) in order for him to keep gaining VAR
experience. I'd not write him out of them.

I think the Man City decision probably finished Kassai's CL
       season off.

Maybe, maybe not - he's still very highly thought of at
committee level & considered a more often than not safe pair of
hands. He may well be 'encouraged' to change his team to allow
him to progress, as he was after Euro 2012. This season in the
winter session was the 1st time Vad has been in his team
domestically since then - 6 nearly 7 years & the beautiful Gábor
Erös was replaced very quickly by Tóth post Euros 2012. I'd not
be completely surprised to see Bognár replaced with Berke as AAR
       - if and when AAR's are actually used. VAR of course will
undoubtedly see the AARs dropped, which will help him out a bit.
I suspect he is more likely to appear in the EL though. He's
done at least 12 games this season in the Saudi League for VAR
experience, transfermarket which is normally quite reliable has
games missing on there in Saudi, he's only done 16 NB1 games & 2
NB2 games as they are on a Sunday & normally if he has had a
Thurs night game in Europe. We have had 26 matchdays so far so
he has missed a fair few due to being in Saudi. Interesting (to
me anyway) he has only worn yellow once in all matches across
all his games, Europe, Saudi, domestically and that was at Man
City! Proof it is an evil colour!
He put in a masterclass performance in the huge Magyar Kupa semi
final last night between the 2 top teams in an ill tempered
match that saw a completely spot on red card for a goalie for
SFP after 7 mins, 1 player with a triple fracture in his cheek
as a result of the challenge and later 2 players from the same
team clashed heads as they both jumped to head a ball and a very
bloody broken nose for one of them was the result! Excellent
game and he and his team were top notch.

I would have thought Brych is a lock for one of the Man City v
       Tottenham games....

Well that’s the Liverpool game ruined with Lahoz in charge. I
really like Collum’s fourth official appointment at Spurs,
       likewise Kuipers in the middle.

       and Cakir

so the english refs will either get a europa appointment or the
       2nd leg of Juventus/Ajax then

Strange imo that the 4Os are from different countries to the
refs for both games. Is this a new practice which could be
extended into the semi-finals or even the Final?

I suspect it's so there is an Elite referee there who can take
       over in case of injury.
