Totally agree with the decision to not award the penalty... but
when are officials going to stop allowing players to chase after
them?

Glad you agree because I don't - seeing the reply looks a
penalty to me - ball travels some distance. In my view should
be a penalty to city.

To be fair, I will hold my hands up... and after seeing it from
a different angle I don’t understand how it’s not been given....
VAR screen anywhere?

Why is Tierney not saying to Oliver - go pitchside and have a
look? How can Tierney and Oliver (who was close enough) not
think that that is handball?

I reckon the monitor pitch side isn’t actually plugged in at any
ground.

I imagine from his angle, side on, Oliver couldn't be sure
whether it hit the arm. I tend to agree though. It would have
been a suitable incident for the referee to look at the monitor.
One of those that had the referee given the penalty, it
wouldn't have been overturned either

I personally don’t think it’s a penalty, his arm is in a natural
position and his hand never moves towards the ball so not
deliberate for me. Had a penalty been recommended by VAR then
would the Liverpool goal he ruled out??
Oliver managing the game well and has given Fabinho and
Fernandinho a very clear warning.
Sterling and aguero very lucky to not be booked for dissent, and
surely a yellow for aguero for running the length of the pitch!

I very rarely expect handballs to be given in PL so not
surprised it wasn't considered as a clear and obvious error.
Would the handball from Silva before it have any impact?

Referee doesn’t think it’s a penalty and he’s very close to the
incident and VAR confirms that it is the right decision but on a
personal level I have seen them given

So have I! However, I was at a PL match last Saturday when a
similar incident occurred with a ball coming across from a
corner . It hit the defender on the arm which stopped it going
to the attacker who was in front of goal in the six yard box
---nothing given and VAR agreed. I am still no nearer, although
I think that the ball actually came off Silva's arm in the
first place.
