Not entirely sure about Mr Oliver's appointment, he seems to
like awarding Liverpool penalties.

Mane must be odds on to win a penalty, even more so with this
appointment of a referee who has given lots of penalties in the
PL in recent years. Mr Oliver has given Liverpool a large
amount of decisions in the past couple of seasons too, City
memories of him are mixed to say the least. Let's hope we
aren't talking about him come the end of the game, can we have 1
decent big game display this season? Please! He is the only one
capable, so come on Michael!

With the way Mike Riley has introduced VAR this season, I'm sure
we'll be talking about that come the end of the game. ;)

Surely the number of penalties awarded by an individual official
is determined by the fouls that are committed inside the penalty
area, that are interpreted as a DFK, in the matches which that
official is appointed to? I don't believe that that should be
used as a judgement towards a positive/negative performance over
a period of time, unless there is a trend of making incorrect
decisions?
