       M ATKINSON - Everton v Spurs

Firstly, thoughts to Andre Gomes after that horrific looking leg
       injury.
Son received a red for it, presumably for the attempted hack
before Gomes went over under his own steam, understandably with
the limited replays its difficult to see what happened
       accurately.
Alli lucky to escape sanction for hands in the box after a three
       minute VAR check.

Our best wishes to Andre Gomes for what is clearly a horrific
accidental collision with Serge Aurier, hope we see him back
soon of course. But can someone explain how that is anything
more than a yellow card for Son? Am I missing something?

There was no red card offence from Son, none whatsoever. Any
mention of the Mina challenge on Son in the box???

I'm not in a position to watch, but from the radio commentary,
it sounds like Mr Taylor in the VAR booth is having a stinker.

From the 4 big VAR calls, he's without doubt got 3 wrong.
       Appalling.

One of the worst days for VAR to add to the continuous rubbish
       we are seeing.
I've seen a truncated replay of the Son red and it's not even a
yellow card offence. I cannot fathom what Atkinson has seen.

Ive not seen any replays, but watched it live and it looked a
       yellow card.
I assume that VAR got involved as only a yellow was shown by
       Atkinson.
As whether VAR got it right I will reserve judgement.
One other point to know Everton play robs a defender he appears
to be caught referee plays on.
The ball goes up field and goes out of play for athrow in.
Then there is a VAR interuption on potential red card (DOGSO, if
he had determined DOGSO how would the game restart?

Are the officials actually getting anything right, are they
seeing anything properly? If no foul on Richarlison (it was his
6th, yes sixth, fall of the game under little contact), why is
he not carded? Had he been booked on any of the previous five
occasions, he surely wouldn't have dived here Why is Son red
carded for barely a yellow card? Why is Alli not penalised for
the ball clearly hitting his arm in his own box with his arm
raised and the ball travelling from miles away? Why is a
penalty given one week for a touch on Mane's shin area but the
next week a clear knee trip from Mina is ignored?
I actually feel like giving up on this level of football, VAR
and our SG referees are the biggest mess imaginable, with the
cheating from the usual suspects never seemingly punished.
       Shameful.

VAR didn't change the card decision from Atkinson because the tv
screen sign would have been shown. Therefore Atkinson must have
said red. If so, VAR would surely have checked that and
overruled the red card on the field.
Edit... PGMOL have come out and said it was the challenge that
directly resulted in the terrible injury, therefore it's
endangering the safety of a player and a red card.

Is it just me or do the PGMOL come out and explain randomly
       hardly fair is it
