Anthony Taylor, Liverpool vs. Tottenham

A fascinating first-half at Anfield, how Liverpool are not level
I do not know. Some of Tottenham's defending is Sunday league
level and Liverpool will win this game so don't panic Reds'
fans!
Anyway, some interesting calls from Mr Taylor to say the least.
Spurs and their fans not happy with lots of questionable calls
in and around their own half, two of them were most definitely
wrong as Sadio Mane dived (quel surprise, does anyone do their
homework on the players they are to officiate!?) and Winks
peculiarly penalised for I'm not quite sure what having had his
shirt pulled!!
Having said that, two bookings correct for Sissoko & Rose, yet
has not had so much as a word with Gazzaniga who has taken a
little long on a couple of occasions. Why do they all ignore
time wasting that is so obvious, albeit not overly obvious so
far in this one?!

And Sadio Mane winning another penalty in controversial
circumstances, very, very soft but also clumsily daft defending
from the hapless Serge Aurier who it's hard to believe is a
professional footballer. Interestingly, that penalty incident
is exactly the same as a couple of fouls on Danny Rose last week
in their game against Watford which went unpunished and nowhere
near as bad as Vertonghen's challenge on Deulofeu last week
also.... these are interesting times from the officials, some
hapless & ultra inconsistent decision-making.

I thought it was a penalty - thought Taylor had a very good game
overall and has been one of the best refs so far this season.

I’d be interested to know why an initial word to Son for
delaying the restart followed by a public rebuke for the same
offence followed by a third instance didn’t equal a caution.
Wouldn’t fancy my chances of avoiding losing marks at Supply
League.
I thought Mr. Taylor was a bit inconsistent with foul detection
and didn’t deal with Tottenham’s gamesmanship well enough but
I’ve seen him do better.
A good game and a tremendous performance by the Spurs goalie.

It wasn't at all soft, in fact I'd say it fell very much on the
obvious side of obvious penalties.

I have been a very vocal critic of Mr Taylor of days gone by.
However, today I thought he was pretty good.
With relation to TAGW - I think the foul that you thought was
Winks being punished wasn't actually Winks but someone else and
Winks just happened to be in the vicinity.
The time wasting should've been stamped on sooner - 5 minutes
into the game with throw ins and goal kicks but in the end came
back to bite Spurs. The one thing I don't like about Taylor's
game is - once that first yellow card comes out pretty much
everything thereafter is a yellow card.

It was the softest of penalty decisions, not sure it would have
been given at the other end whatsoever. Mane adds another one
to his collection of debatable decisions in his favour, if you
can't be good be lucky!
Felt his foul detection was harsh on Spurs throughout until
after the debatable penalty call when he decided to give most
things Spurs' way, but by then too late for them to come back.
Liverpool deserved the win for sure, aided once more here though
by a debatable decision.

Not a kick, a touch or maybe flick of the boot which Mane felt
and fell over. This incident happens week-in, week-out and
players are told to get up. This should have been no different!

2 seasons ago when it was 2-2 at anfield, spurs were awarded a
penalty in the last minute for a foul on lamela, softer than
that one today.
Perhaps you remember?
