After Saturday, I thought we had blown it. ::)
Losing home advantage and travelling all that way for a
"midweeker",I had resigned myself that we would get nothing out
of tonights' game. There'll be a few sore heads tomorrow morning
;D

Away to Three Bridges( who beat the Oysters)
Can't see Deal winning that one :'(
Would have preferred going to the Belmont(Well, apart from the
weed! ;D)

That's not an easy game, get a draw perhaps ::)
That's what I miss the smell of weed and the fights when they
play the Bay ;D

A good win last night Phil, did you go?
Plus a great attendance for a midweek game, and plus plus, top
of the league ;D

Yep. I was there.[emoji106]
TC with an absolute screamer(on the volley!) to get us on level
terms. We were 0-1 down at half time. He made the 3rd for his
brother with a great cross.
Considering Dover were at home last night as well, it was a good
turnout[emoji108]
Top of the league? Well, it's a marathon, not a sprint, so I'm
not getting over excited yet! Not a bad point for the Rams
either, considering we've never got the rub of the green lately
against Sittingbourne. Aaron Millbank looked good for Deal last
night!

Can't work out where the crowd numbers came from, don't suppose
C/bury have much of a following, still it's good the more money
coming in.
Over the years I seen R/gate lose to the Bourne more times than
they have won. Horrible ground as well.
Did you watch the Rams Bill?

I can only think that Covid helped a bit with the numbers. If
you remember, when it was about, the likes of the Conference
league(the so called elite) were shut down, although below them,
crowds in the Ryman and SCEFL had limits on the numbers that
could watch them.
Wasn't it something like 400 for the Rams and 300 for the likes
of Deal, or was it a percentage of the grounds capacity?
With the Dover fans unable to watch games at the Crapple, to get
their footy fix, I feel the people that say lived at Walmer,
Martin Mill and Ripple(that normally watched Dover), came to
Deal and found out it was cheaper all round, as well as watching
a good game on the day.
Chuck in the fact that Dover were fined all that money and
docked all those points(getting relegated in the process)
probably swayed a few as well!
I think success on the pitch helps as well. You only have to
look at the gates at Sarfwood now. Remember when we got 200
and we thought it was a good gate?
ps Olive still goes!

Excellent, in a nut shell.
Oh yes 180 to 200 was thought to be a good gate back a few
seasons.
Olive only goes in the hope of seeing me there again ;D
