Yesterday I met a guy who knows you, I can't remember his name,
he has a Tash & Beard, sits in the stand at RFC and is a season
       ticket holder at MFC (fool)

Small guy, about our age? Where did you meet him?
I reckon that could be "Margate Pete". From the description you
gave, that seems to fit the bill.
Any news of Mick, by the way?

Yes that's the guy, he was on the Bus at R/gate Harbour. He
told me ages ago that once a week he goes to Wetherspoons and
       then bus back to M/gate.
He didn't mention how nice Southwood looks :o
I spoke to him a few weeks ago, he is confused on what he does
on Saturdays, he kept saying he was busy and had to go shopping
       with Sandra. Its sad.

No, I decided to stay in the warm and watch the "Egg Chuckers"
       on the box.
All I saw on the HBFC Twitter page was that the ref incurred an
injury and couldn't carry on. Just get a lino to take over and
put a request over the PA, asking if there was anybody that
       could run the line. ::)
Used to happen in the old days!

       That was a wise move.
Strange that a Lino couldn't take over, better than abandon the
game :o Perhaps the Law/Rules are different

Well anyone with a tracksuit and boots could run the line I
       would have thought.

       Are you going tonight Phil?
Hopefully 3 points, although it will be tough game, but the
       Hoops can do it ;D
