Hi Phil, I spoke to Mick last week, he says he failed his second
driving test at Canterbury.
He still sounds a little confused, so I'm not sure if it was the
first or second test.
I told just give up driving, he's had over 40 years of doing
it............driving that is ;D

I thought he was told to give up driving by his doctor, some
time ago.
Didn't you tell me he was angry with the examiner and later that
he had a blackout, whilst out walking?
You're right, he should give up on any thoughts about getting
behind the wheel again.

The Dr did tell him not to drive, but gave Mick the option of
having another test to prove he was confident.
£40 a time to take one and then be assessed by the Medical Team.

Well, if that is his 2nd test, he should take the hint !
How many "bites at the cherry" does he think he's going to get?
Just hand over the keys to his missus!

I've said that to him many times, Mick says I know you're right,
but I still want to drive.
Sadly you can't help some people.

Hi Bill, with Mick he has been driving for over 40 years, IMO
now he has the start of Dementia. His driving tests are
assessed by the Doctors at Canterbury Hospital who sit in the
back of the car.
I've been in the car with Mick many times and he's scared the
life out of me, I then decided not to travel in his car again.
