       The Rams get some funding
       By: john558 Date: October 7, 2020, 7:01 am
       ---------------------------------------------------------
       Taken from Facebook today.
Craig Mackinlay MP has welcomed the announcement that Ramsgate
FC will receive £7,000 from the Premier League's Matchday
       Support Fund.
The money will help the Club cover the costs of adjustments that
need to be made to safely cater for the return of players and
supporters to Southwood Stadium in Price’s Avenue, Ramsgate.
The Matchday Support Fund is being delivered by the Football
Stadia Improvement Fund (FSIF) - the grant-giving body that
provides Premier League funding to support ground improvements
for clubs in the professional, women's and non-league games.

Hi Bill It was Government/FA funding to help clubs dealing with
Covid, so it can't be that older news.
I can't find the page it was on, I think it was Craig Mc the
       South Thanet MP posted it.

for clubs in the professional, women's and non-league games.
This short video provides a round-up of the Fund’s impact across
       the country.
       Craig Mackinlay MP commented:
“I’m delighted that Ramsgate FC in my South Thanet constituency
have been awarded Premier League funding to help prepare
Southwood Stadium for football's safe return.
“Although I had hoped it would be possible for fans to return to
sports games from 1st October, these plans were put off owing to
the rising number of coronavirus cases.
“I absolutely appreciate the implications of this decision for
sports clubs, which are the life and soul of our communities, as
well as the disappointment of sports fans, but am assured that
Ministers are urgently considering how they can be supported.
“This £7,000 of Matchday Support Fund money will help to ensure
that Ramsgate FC will be ready to safely host fans as soon as
possible. I hope to be among them.”
Note the date Bill 6th October 2020, so this is not old news,
will be kept a secret or will this news be posted on the
       official site

It would have been nice as a Rams supporter to read this info
       first on the official site.
