So, what is the injury to Campbell?
It's got to be something really serious, if he's injured in the
1st game and he's going to be missing up to ALL season!? :o
As you say, it would be nice to see a match report and pictures

       Taken from Facebook today.
As the manager of Ramsgate Football Club I cannot accept what we
served up for you as supporters on Saturday and class it as
anywhere close to where we need to be.
Chipstead were better than us across the pitch. They were
brighter from set pieces and more aggressive in tackles and with
headers and they were also braver on the ball.
It is not often I can say that about one of my teams but you
have to be honest with yourself as a manager, to the players as
a group and to you all as supporters.
Away from the pitch the whole day was fantastic for Ramsgate
Football Club. The level of support and the engagement from the
youth section was brilliant. The opening of The RAMCAGE Arena
and the new sponsors lounge went brilliantly. There was a real
community feel amongst the supporters and it was great to see
the transformation off the pitch which shows how far we have
come as a club. The one thing that didn’t match this was the
level of performance on the pitch.
Match report taken from Facebook today.
The only finger I point is at myself as the manager. We had Rory
Smith and Ashley Miller missing, who are big players, we missed
a penalty and now Roman Campbell is now inured for a large
chunk, if not all, of the season, but ultimately the buck stops
with me and so it should. We will all take the plaudits when we
win and play well but we have to take the negative comments and
       opinions when we don’t.
Saturday was one where we have to look strongly at ourselves in
the mirror which starts and ends with me. We have a good group
of lads but Saturday was far from good enough. This is now an
important week leading into a very tough game away at Chichester
       City in five days time.
I would like to take the opportunity to wish Chipstead all the
best in the next round and thank you all our supporters for
coming out yesterday. We want you all to bring the same level of
support to the next home game and my job in turn is to get a
performance from the team that matches the off the field work,
the effort, the desire and quality from everybody at Ramsgate
       Football Club.

Good to see on Kentonline today, that the injury to Campbell
isn't as bad as first thought.
Missing 6/8 weeks. Got to be better than all season!

       That's good news.
As Bill is the only one who went on Saturday and who is on this
board, Bill was the managers assessment of the game correct.

Spotted Ginge, his mate and the lad known as "Ramsgate Raider"
       on Twitter, at Deal tonight.
He reckons Deal would have beaten the Rams if they had played
them in the Cup, the way Ramsgate played on Saturday! They say
that most of the forward line is crocked at Ramsgate already!
       Lost 1-3 to Sheppey tonight.
Had Penney sent off (straight red) when it was 1-1. Two goals in
two minutes killed us off. 229 there tonight.
Bloody hot night watching, let alone playing!

I expect a team of one legged men would beat Ramsgate at the
       moment.
That's a good crowd, some from Sheppey I expect. Baa Well it
gives the sheep a rest ;D
