Taken from Kentonline:
Canterbury City left with no manager or players after Clive Cook
and his squad quit the club

I blame the council!
They never got behind them when they had the chance to move into
a "new "ground earlier on. It is a shame to see any club fold.
More so, a fellow Kent club.
Remember, the next one could be us!

Yes I agree, used to enjoy the speedway at their old ground.
Since PBB came in I had thought the same, the club we love could
go to the wall and Southwood would become an housing
estate.........I'm glad the old b*****d has gone.

If he has stopped funding the team, where on earth is the money
coming from ,to afford a 3g pitch!? :o
Maybe the club would like to issue a statement on that!?

I think the club ought to forget(for the time being) the idea of
a 3g pitch.
The way things are going, there won't be a team to play on it!
Let's get things in perspective first. Get a manager who can
turn this lot around and start getting some results. I notice we
have East Grinstead and Three bridges coming up at the end of
January and if we lose to either of them (or both!), then the
team really are in the soft brown smelly stuff!
East Grinstead have 4 games in hand(Three Bridges have 2) on us.
It only needs one win and the pressure's on !

I don't think Jim will take up the offer.
He's not been in the best of health in the past and the pressure
of being in charge might prove too much for him.
Danny perhaps?
