Just read on the website that PBB has resigned due to Heart
problems. While I disagreed with the way he was taking RFC
forward I do wish him well health wise.

Got to agree with your comments.
He'd help his cause if he didn't smoke the cigars of his :o

Call that a lighter note EKR?
We've had that talk over tea for some weeks. Where is the money
coming from, which team members will stay? What now, will Lawson
follow his dad's thoughts and go back to the ''Kent'' league??
What does he want from the RFSA and supporters etc? Have to wait
and wait for further info I suppose.

RFC need to get back to winning ways, this will put bums on
seats and get 200+ through the gate.

Perhaps Bill, the thought of would could happen should have been
in certain peoples' minds when the decision was made to welcome
him to the club! All the talk of a "sugar daddy", the club
making the play offs and the high earners coming to the club
should have rung a few alarm bells, especially when you look at
what happened to TOTS not all that long ago with a similar
scenario with Laslett!
A club cannot survive with the money coming in from just one
person,so it's a blessing that we have the sponsors we have got!
As for going back to the Kent League,why would anyone want to do
that!? Where's the ambition?
Do you think the public would support such a move? That for me
would be the death knell for the club. Players would go, crowds
would drop and the standard of football would be worse. It's not
that easy to get promoted back from that League(as only the
Champs get automatic promotion). Just ask the Oysters.
As John says, just start getting the results(starting with
tomorrow). This will bring the crowds back and increase revenue.
Let's just make sure we survive this season, wipe the slate
clean and start afresh next year.
Will be there(weather and pitch permitting) tomorrow.

I can only presume that if there are advertising boards in the
ground, they must belong to sponsors! ;D
W W Martin, Blaze Signs, Chandlers Builders and Carris Utilities
for example.

that's peanuts. Some are by Zac Those signs are a one off
payment (per year). Think one or two is out of date anyway.

Well, if they're out of date,they should be taken down ::)
If that is the case,then we do need to get back to winning
ways,to increase gates and money! In the scenario that PBB has
taken his money away,then that puts us basically to where we
were last year.
As a matter of interest,does anyone in the club "knock on
doors",looking for sponsors,or is it all done via "social media"
and the club sit back for answers?
What about the 12th man scheme? Any idea of how that's going?
Finally, have a look at the twitter page on the DTFC
website,concerning the statement of PBB stepping down. Some not
very complimentary comments about him :o
