Freezing! ;D
This is "my take" on the game
I think the team can consider themselves unlucky tonight. After
going behind after 2 mins, I thought a cricket score was on the
books but all credit to them getting back into the game and
equalizing with a good goal from Rowland.
Went ahead in the second half with another good 'un from Bode.
Had a third disallowed for "offside" and if that had stood,I
think that would have been game over.
Matched them in the 2nd half until after several attempts to
clear and with the ball "ping ponging" around the box,it was
smashed in to make it 2-2.
Penalties were looming but in the last minute, a ball was played
long and I think one or two in the defence expected the linos
flag to go up but it didn't and so game over! :'(
If only they could repeat their cup form in the league,we'd be
up the table in no time! ::)
Stand out players for me were Morrell and Bode.
Disappointed with only 86 there and that included a few from
Surrey!

cannot work out why the goal was disallowed. Looks as if the
ball was in the net before a Rams player got near it.

Having words later on, I got the impression that it was
disallowed for "offside"(although no Rams player touched the
ball for the inswinging free kick) due to the fact that the
forwards got in the keepers line of vision, distracting him for
that split second or so.
What would refs said about this then?

I know this was a cup game, but when you are down near the
bottom the luck doesn't run with you.

I suppose the team can take heart in the fact that it showed
last night they ARE capable of playing good football,if they put
their mind to it and this can only install confidence for the
future. Losing to a Premier league side last night was no
disgrace. If things had not gone against us,then I think we
would have all been feeling better today ;D
If they play on Saturday like they did last night,I'm pretty
confident we'll get a result against Whitehawk 8)
