       What a stupid statement, supporters love these local games and
       more gate, food & beer money for the home club.

       Exactly! :o
       Just ask the players what they would prefer! Playing
       derbies,especially at Xmas or New Year,in front of a decent
       crowd,providing a great atmosphere,or in front of some team,the
       other end of the county(or on the outskirts of London wherever)
       in front of hardly anyone and his dog,incurring travelling costs
       etc!
       No brainer,in my book!
