besides the title, i was also unable to play actually, had an
accident, was hospitalized, hence i was afk the past weeks, but
thats beside the point, and im back to find out that , well...
im not able to get the game running on my computer anymore, as i
was complaning about the update since the first day that it was
announced that they will drop dx9 support, its really sad, i
will give it a while probably and try out several things to get
sto running on my computer, also as some of you know and might
recall already, my hardware does support DX11 but but i refuse
to use windows, also its a work related thing i cant use windows
else i can not run my apps on my computer, and do not tell me
please there might be an alternative on windows, no there is not
its specific for my needs, but im willing to switch to windows
if anyone is willing to pay me my monthly salary :P then i dont
have to worry about the apps running but can run windows, but
yeah as we all know nobody would take my offer lol, so i ask
anyone out there if they know of a way to make it run on a mac,
to share it with me, i tried VMware, paralles, wine, wineskin,
playonmac, standalone winestaging apps, and no luck, it does not
work no matter what, best result i could get was with paralells
but that was just till the login window then it crashed, or
froze, and to get to the login window it took like 20 mins, so
its slow as in slow super motion slow.
its pretty upsetting...

update:
altough i found a way, installing sto in a virtualmachine, which
allows me to login, but with frames like 2-5 max. which is slow,
and not usable to play, there is no reall solution yet to my
problem. it is a miracle even that works

I have also been afk for some time now. Times have been rough
and a lot has haapened in my life as well, but the fact that I
see we are at least all trying to stay in touch :) I am certain
guin has taken great care of the fleet in my absence, I am
signing in here in just a patch or two to check things out!
