Creating Vertex Buffer Issues
Fatal Error: Direct3D driver returned error code
(DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED) while Creating vertex buffer.
Technical Details: D3D11 Device removed due to
DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG 0x887a0006
COVERING: Windows XP, Vista, 7, and 8 FROM WIN 7 PERSPECTIVE
-->SOLVED<--
This coming from a VERY Dedicated Fan, Trekkie, and avidly
devoted player. Originally there was damage to my motherboard
resulting in this error after replacement. The Error was there
before the damage but was not apparent due to my having the
original(b4 arc) installation still installed on my computer.
The issue is with the combination of AMD/ATI Graphics drivers
and catalyst control center, Microsoft.NET, and the installation
order.
*Using your WIN 7 disk perform a complete re-install without
formating the partion(so that windows.old remains) After-wards
go to Amd.com and download the driver navigator. NOTE-This
software does work, but you will have to pay for a version of it
to get the drivers you need {if you have this error this is the
only option i have found to fix it, I paid for it and it worked}
download and install all drivers recommended. After this you
will need to, in this order download Microsoft.NET framework 4
and install it. You will then get an out of date error when you
try to open the catalyst control center and it will prompt you
to download 4.5 or higher. Do this and install. After the
installation completes open the catalyst control center and
reinstall Arc and STO!!!! *you will need to re-install all of
your old files, folders and software programs on your computer I
suggest you make a back-up disk first before beginning this
procedure for an easy re-install of your main system software(do
not save any of the game files or platform files as they will
re-write to your hard-drive when you re-install your software).
*Dont forget to delete windows.old in the program files after
you are done. this may take a while{took me two days to complete
the whole procedure}
