Diabetes is a disorder which is a direct result of increase in
your blood glucose level when body doesn't produce insulin.
Symptoms generally first noticeable are weight loss, increased
thirst, and tiredness. Diabetes is normally classified as Type 1
and Type 2 Diabetes. Diabetes is caused by environmental factors
and genes. A combination of medication, proper diet and
exercise can enable a diabetic to lead a normal life. One
should not consider diabetes as a disease but at the same time
should not be careless about their diet.

Diabetes is there in my family. My physician has advised me to
keep a tab on my blood sugar. As I have a sedentary job, I keep
myself active by walking daily for 45 minutes.

A proper diet is the key to a healthy lifestyle. Eating food at
regular intervals can ward off too much variation in blood sugar
level. Too low blood sugar will cause weakness and sometimes
seizures. One has to be very careful.
