       Learning from History

       Have we learned from History or repeating it?
       As the philosopher George Santayana had said ' Those who cannot
       remember the past are condemned to repeat it.' If one does not
       learn from history, he is doomed to repeat it. This is the
       universal truth as it holds good not only in the case of persons
       but also countries, government, people beyond the geographic
       divide.  If one does not learn from his mistakes, he will
       definitely repeat it causing further damage.  One can just
       imagine the destruction that can be caused to a larger
       population if public policies are not made keeping this
       philosophy in mind.

       I still believe people have not entirely learned from history
       and definitely still don't tell the entire story pertaining to
       some past events or figures.
