Final card for Extreme Rules. Also included more of the backstor
y/buildup

This is the final card for Extreme Rules and also some more
backstory/buildup, since I didn't do the other RAWs and SDs.
John Cena (c) vs. Christian - TLC Match - WWE Title – Extreme
Rules is where this feud will finally end. It’s no secret that
Cena is a fighting champion. It’s also no secret that TLC is a
match that Christian helped put on the map. The night after No
Mercy, Cena said that he’d have no problem going against
Christian one more time. Christian appeared later on that
episode of RAW and took Cena up on that offer. Christian
challenged Cena to a TLC match for the WWE Title. The following
week on RAW, the contract signing happened. Now tension was
already building between Cena and Christian. The WWE Title match
was around the corner and you also had the altercation between
the two on the previous week’s SD! The contract signing didn’t
go all that well for McMahon (who was overseeing it) Christian
and Cena got into it. McMahon tried to break it up (he obviously
didn’t wanna see his E.R main event ruined on RAW) As McMahon
tried to break up the fight, he got knocked down by Cena. Cena
and Christian continue to brawl until security is able to break
them up. McMahon, was still a little groggy from getting hit by
Cena, gets up and gets in Cena’s face for putting his hands on
him. McMahon then slaps Cena. Cena then FU’s McMahon through the
table, where the contract signing took place. Then later on that
week, McMahon puts Cena in a handicap match against Ted Dibiase
and Cody Rhodes. The match eventually gets thrown out, when
Rhodes and Dibiase refuse to tag in and out. The ref throws the
match out and Dibiase and Rhodes continue to beat up on Cena.
Then Christian comes running down to the ring with a steel chair
in hand. Rhodes and Dibiase quickly exit the ring. Christian
then helps Cena up. Then out of nowhere, Christian hits Cena
with the Killswitch on the chair. Sometime after that, Christian
cuts a promo on Cena. He basically says that he will walk out of
Extreme Rules as the WWE Champion. Then Edge suddenly comes out.
Edge tells Christian that he needs to defeat Cena for the title
at Extreme Rules. Edge says that Christian needs to do it, not
just for himself (Christian), but for everybody in the WWE. Edge
then says that Cena is a cancer. He’s a cancer that must be
destroyed. Cena then shows up on stage. Cena then tells Edge
that he needs to be less worried about him and more concerned
about Michaels kicking his teeth down his throat. Cena then sets
his sights on Christian. Cena throws out a few anti-Christian
comments. Cena then says that he doesn’t wanna wait for Extreme
Rules, he wants Christian in ring now. Christian then tells Cena
“if you want some…come get some!” Cena is about to make his way
down to the ring, then McMahon suddenly appears on the
titantron. McMahon says that there will be no Cena/Christian
match tonight on RAW. McMahon continues on by saying that match
will happen only at Extreme Rules. McMahon then claims that he
has a solution for Cena. He then says “In that very ring, John
Cena...you will team up with Shawn Michaels. And you will face
Edge and Christian!” Later on that match takes place. Towards
the middle of that match, a ladder is brought into the
situation. After the match, that’s won by the team of Cena and
HBK (HBK is able to get a roll up victory on Edge) Edge and HBK
fight some more. They fight all the way through the crowd. In
the ring, Christian and Cena also fighting. Cena goes for the FU
on Christian, but Christian counters it into the Killswitch.
Christian then goes outside and sets the ladder up by the
announcer’s table. He then gets back in the ring and gets Cena.
He sends Cena over the ropes to the ringside area. Christian the
puts Cena on the announcer’s table, then he begins climbing the
ladder. Christian obviously plans on jumping off the ladder and
landing on Cena, sending him through the table. Christian is
almost at the top of the ladder, when Cena begins to stir. Cena
then gets up and he starts to climb the ladder. Both are now on
the ladder. Christian is trying to knock Cena off of the ladder
to the table below. Christian throws another punch, Cena
counters it and is able put Christian over his shoulders in the
F-U position. Cena then FU’s Christian from the ladder to the
announcer’s table below.
The Miz vs. John Morrison - No DQ 30-min Iron Man match - At No
Mercy, Miz faced The Undertaker. Morrison costs him the match.
The next night on RAW, he faces Cena and Morrison again costs
him the match. On SD! Miz has a match. And dominates it. He was
also extremely pissed at Morrison for constantly sticking his
nose in his(Miz) business. Miz cuts a promo after his match and
tells Morrison that he wants to end this once and for all. Miz
challenges Morrison to a match at Extreme Rules. That match is a
30min no dq Iron Man match. Morrison accepts. And the match is
on. On the last RAW before Extreme Rules, their old show "The
Dirt Sheet" is brought back, with both hosting it. During that
segment, Miz tells Morrison that he (Morrison) has alway been
jealous of him (Miz) Miz then says that at Extreme Rules he will
prove, once and for all, that Morrison is the Jannetty and
he(Miz) is the Shawn Michaels! Morrison then says that he has
nothing but respect for both Jannetty and HBK. Morrison then
continues by saying that he has no respect for Miz. Morrison
then says that at Extreme Rules, he is going to leave Miz a
bloody pulp. Morrison then continues on by saying that at
Extreme Rules he will do the whole world a favor and end Miz
wants and for all...and that will truly be awesome! They then
get in each other's face then begin to brawl. Morrison is able
to get the upper hand and sends Miz out of the ring. This whole
issue between Morrison and The Miz all started back at The Great
American Bash. And it will end at Extreme Rules.
Chris Jericho and CM Punk vs. AJ Styles(c) and Rey Mysterio (c)
- Ladder Match - Tag Team Titles - This whole thing seemingly
started when CM Punk made his return to WWE. Only, it wasn't the
CM Punk of old. This was new CM Punk. A CM Punk had no problems
forcing his own beliefs down the throats of the WWE fans. CM
Punk proclaimed himself to be a savior for WWE. Punk then
decided to up it even more by getting the other so called
savior, Chris Jericho to join him on his crusade. They soon
after hit a road block. And that road block was AJ Styles and
Rey Mysterio, who refused to buy into the crap Punk and Jericho
were spewing. Jericho and Punk took offense to that and soon
after a feud began between the two teams. The met at No Mercy,
where AJ and Rey retained the tag titles. The next night on RAW,
Jericho and Punk demanded that they get another shot. McMahon
told them that he'd think about. SD! came and McMahon told Punk
and Jericho that if they could defeat TLC opponents, Christian
and Cena, then they would get a shot at the titles. Due to the
problems Cena and Christian were having, Punk and Jericho got
the win...which meant that they would get a shot at the titles.
On RAW, a match was set up and it was Punk vs. Mysterio. Whoever
won that match, would get to(along with their partner) decide
the stipulation for the tag match at Extreme Rules. Due to
Jericho's interference, Punk was able to defeat Rey. Punk and
Jericho then revealed the stipulation...it would be a ladder
match. Soon after Jericho and Punk explained why they picked
that match type. Punk reminds everybody that he is a former MITB
winner and Jericho reminds everybody that he single-handely
revolutionized the ladder match. The following week, Jericho and
Punk are in the ring with ladders surrounding. There's also a
ladder in the ring. Jericho and Punk then tell the crowd and Rey
and AJ what they can expect at Extreme Rules. AJ and Rey then
come to the ring, through the crowd. Punk and Jericho don't see
him. AJ and Rey then get on the side of the ladder. Punk and
Jericho see them now. But it's too late. Punk and Jericho pleads
for them not to tip the ladder over. For a minute it appears
that AJ and Rey aren't going to do it. Then they decide to tip
the ladder over. Jericho and Punk bounce off of the ropes, then
land outside. AJ and Rey set the ladder up again. They climb the
ladder. Then they hoist their tag titles above their heads. AJ
Styles and Rey Mysterio vs. CM Punk and Chris Jericho in a
ladder match, for the WWE Tag Team Titles.
Shawn Michaels vs. Edge - Steel Cage Match - This feud has been
going on for quite a while and it's gotten person really quick.
The night after No Mercy (where HBK defeated Edge in his PPV
return match) Edge destroyed HBK on RAW. He left him a bloody
mess. Edge was obviously proud of his actions, as he gloated
about it on SD! later that week. The following week on RAW, he
gloats some more. He repeated shows the footage of him beating
the hell out of HBK. Edge asks for the footage to be shown
again, only this time HBK appears on the tron. HBK slowly makes
his way to the entrance area. He then runs down to the ring and
whoops Edge's ass. HBK delivers an elbow from the top turnbuckle
to Edge, who's on the announcer's table. HBK then accepts Edge's
challenge. The following week on RAW, Vince McMahon decides to
add a stipulation to the HBK/Edge Steel cage match. That stip is
that whoever gets the win will not only be the better man, but
will also be the number 1 contender for the WWE Title. That
person will meet the winner of the TLC match at Survivor Series
for WWE Championship.
Chyna vs. Beth Phoenix (falls count anywhere) – This whole issue
really got started last year at Armageddon, when Beth Phoenix
made her debut (with the aid of the Beautiful People) injured
Chyna’s neck. Chyna returned at Royal Rumble and got a small bit
of revenge on Beth and The Beautiful People. Chyna then met Beth
Phoenix at No Way Out. If she won, then she’d get a shot at
*then WWE Women’s champion, Crystal* Chyna is able to get by
Beth. She moves on to WM25 and meets The Beautiful People’s own
Crystal. Chyna simply destroys her. So Chyna is the champ and
all seems right in the world, as far as she’s concerned. Beth
Phoenix, however, doesn’t plan on keeping it that way. She
continues to be a thorn in Chyna’s side, going into Night of
Champions in June. Those two meet for the Women’s Title. Beth is
able to defeat Chyna for the belt, and also injures Chyna in the
process. Beth is pretty dominant as champion and she also has no
problem reminding anyone who’d listen that she was the one who
ended Chyna’s career. Fast forward to October, and No Mercy
takes place. Beth defends her title against the number 1
contender at that time, Natalya. Natalya is not backing down
from Beth Phoenix. But Beth is still able to show her dominance
in the match. Towards the end of the match, Chyna makes her
return. She eventually costs Beth Phoenix the Women’s title. So
now we’re at Extreme Rules, and Chyna and Beth will finally
settle their once and for all in a falls count anwhere match.
Big Show vs. Big Zeke(c) - Extreme Rules Match - Hardcore Title
– It’s no secret that Big Zeke has been absolutely dominant
since winning the Hardcore title. Many have wondered if anybody
could stop him. Well they may have gotten their answer in the
form of Big Show! Big Show began showing up after Big Zeke’s
matches a few weeks back. Zeke eventually calls Show out and
demands to know what his problem was. Show appears and tells
Zeke that he’s been eyeing him. Show then says, “Zeke, you claim
you’re the most dominant son of a bitch here in the WWE? Well I
say I am the most dominant son of a bitch here in the WWE!” Big
Show then says that he has a way of proving who’s the most
dominant…he then challenges Zeke to a Hardcore Title match at
Extreme Rules. Zeke accepts. So now the stage is set! It’s
colossal truck vs. colossal truck! Big Show will meet Ezekiel
Jackson© for the Hardcore Title!
Matt Hardy (c) vs. Kofi Kingston vs. Jack Swagger - Triple
Threat Tables Match - Intercontinental Title - Swagger has been
seeminly miserable ever since he lost the Intercontinental Title
back at Unforgiven in the Championship scramble match. All he
wants is a 1 on 1 rematch for the title but for some reason,
he's yet to get one. He did get a rematch at No Mercy, but
again, it wasn't a one on one match. So a match is set up on
RAW...it's Swagger vs. Kofi. The winner would be the number 1
contender for the IC title and would get a shot later that week
on SD! In that match, Kofi defeats Swagger with a roll up.
Swagger gets extremely pissed over that. So, later that week on
SD! Kofi faces Matt Hardy for the IC Title. Kofi is close to
winning it, when Swagger gets involved. Ref calls for the bell.
That same night, McMahon gets pissed at Swagger for ruining one
of his matches. Swagger tells McMahon that he had to do it.
Swagger then says that he will keep interrupting IC title
matches until he gets shot. The following week on RAW, McMahon
tells Swagger that he will indeed get a IC match. Swagger gets
happy. McMahon then says that it's not one on one tho. Swagger's
grin begins to fade. McMahon then says that at Extreme Rules it
will be Matt Hardy vs. Kingston vs. Swagger in a triple threat
tables match for the IC Title.
