One Piece Creator Oda Made 2 Billion Yen

The December 30/January 6 issue of Bungei Shunju's Weekly
Bunshun magazine calculated that One Piece manga creator
Eiichiro Oda's annual income is 2 billion yen (about US$24
million). The magazine took the number of One Piece manga
volumes sold this year (32,343,809), multiplied that by the
average cover price (400 yen), and multipled the result by Oda's
estimated royalty percentage (10%) to get the tally of 1.29
billion yen (US$15.5 million).
Weekly Bunshun then estimated that Oda earned 749 million yen
(US$8.97 million) in royalties for character goods to reach the
final total of 2 billion yen.

I heard from somewhere that he's not gonna create any major
works after One Piece. Just small stuff like one-shots. He'll
chill around like Akira Toriyama (Dragon Ball mangaka).

He can afford it since he's a millionnaire while the Kubo's and
Kishimoto's will work their ass off. Bleach and Naruto big money
income comes from outside japan and their authors gets nothing
out of international product sells lol

I dunno about Naruto though. It's extremely popular especially
outside Japan. It's doing really well because its video games
sell a lot. One Piece may be bigger in the manga department, but
if you include manga and products, Naruto dominates
internationally. For some reason Bleach is bigger than One Piece
too. This probably has something to do with 4kids lol. I think
One Piece isn't as popular in America because of them.

10 More Years of One Piece? Fuck That. Honestly, I don't see how
One Piece is so popular. The artwork is shabby, and the story
line is longer then The Iron Sheiks penis. The only thing saving
One Piece from me not watching it, is Oda's amazing ability to
draw characters like Nami, and Nico who have great ''assets.''

One Piece is way better than Bleach and Naruto, Difference
between OP and other HST, it actually gets better as the series
progresses which i can't say for latter 2. Character development
is better in one piece too, and Oda draws background way better
than Kishi and Kubo, Have you seen Battle sequence in bleach,
the BG is practically blank, character design is subjective
anyway.
One piece is the reigning king of Shonen.

Background really don't mean anything to me, if they're drawn
sloppy, and to be honest, the OP Storyline has become too vague
to me. It's way too long, and on top of that, every scene where
something dramatic happens, it's heavily overshadowed with the
terrible fucking artwork. Take this for example (Reference to
the Below). I can't find where Aces body begins, and the ground
stops. I'd say Character Wise, OP wins it, but Storyline wise,
I'll actually give it to something like Naruto (because Tite
Kubo is a fucking troll), where in Naruto, everything leads up
to something, unlike in One Piece, where it skips from beating
someone like Arlong, to something completely different.

Artwork is different and not for anyone, but it's not terrible,
(it can get little chaotic, but i prefer that then blank BG).
And One Piece has better storyline than Naruto too. Everything
is connected somehow too, and there is no loose end. Arlong was
a fishmen who was acquainted with Jinbei who is a warlord that's
affiliated with WB crew which is Ace is a part of. I mean from
location, story-telling. Oda has managed to keep it fresh even
after 10 years, One piece is the best shonen anime right now.
Naruto is good manga but not on One piece's level. There is a
reason why One Piece has received more critical acclamation.
