Surprise! - Jeff Hardy's Court Date Delayed Again

       ---------------------------------------------------------
TNA World Champion Jeff Hardy was in North Carolina courtroom
yesterday, defending himself once again against a group of drug
charges stemming from a September 2009 arrest.
In a press release from last year by the Moore County Sheriff's
Office, it states officers found a 262 Vicodin prescription
pills, 180 Soma prescription pills, 555 milliliters of anabolic
steroids, a residual amount of powder cocaine and items of drug
paraphernalia when doing a search of Hardy's home. The specific
charges currently against Hardy include conspiracy to traffic in
Opium, trafficking in Opium by possession, two counts of
possession with Intent to Distribute, felony possession of
cocaine, felony maintaining a controlled substance in a
vehicle/dwelling/place and misdemeanor possession of drug
       paraphernalia.
Yesterday, the Moore County Superior Court continued the trial
to January 20th. This is not the first time Hardy has received a
delay in the case. There is no clear date on when Hardy could
       face a verdict.
The negative speculation around Jeff Hardy continues to grow
with these drug charges still pending, a recent video where he
appears disoriented and insults WWE superstar CM Punk, and a
recent story where Hardy was almost stripped of the TNA World
title on the day of a Pay Per View event. Compounding this
recent negative press is the well known history that Hardy has
had with substance abuse in the past.
