What is your favorite movie this year?(2010)

I haven't watched much movies this year. I watched the Social
Network and that was pretty good.

Honestly, I can't believe this, but Nightmare on Elm Street is
probably my favorite movie this year. I actually thought it was
better than what I thought it would be. I know many frowned upon
them getting a new Freddy and seemingly changing the direction
of his character. But the more I thought about it, the more I
loved what they did with his charater. Basically, they brought
Freddy back to what he was intended to be...and that's scary.
In alot of the older Elm Street movies, Freddy was portrayed as
a more comical character for the most part. Some of the movies
seemed almost like comedies instead of horror movies. In the
2010 version, his character was more darker and evil. There was
a little bit of the old school comedic flare from the original
Freddy. But the newer version's overall character was just more
evil and sadistic. And that is what Freddy should've been.
Freddy Krueger should've never been the comedic 'not really
scary' "boogeyman" that he was portray as after the original
Nightmare on Elm Street.
