       AH Pact
   DIR By: Tasslehoff

       ---------------------------------------------------------
       hello guildies! i would like to your time for something some of
       us are into.. the AH.
       we have a couple of members that use the AH to gain profit.
       buying and selling stuff to make the extra penny. some of us
       have a certain unwritten "gentlemen's code" that we do our
       selling by. basically we do not undercut each other when putting
       items on for sell.
       to make it more clear:
       * if the item that we are going to put for sell is on the
       AH (by a guild member) for the least amount we match the price
       (or go higher if we wish)
       * if the least expensive item is on by a non-guild member
       we undercut as we wish.
       * if we match a guild member's price because he has it on
       for the lowest value, then get undercut by anyone we are free to
       undercut the undercutter.
       * if we are in a situation where we believe the lowest
       value from a guild member isn't sellable (too high priced) we pm
       and ask for permisson to undercut.
       * if a guild member does not follow the above we are free
       to undercut him as if he/she was a stranger. (no hard feelings)
       * we also feel selling the same item one at a time is
       better than flooding the market. (this goes for high priced
       items only.)
       * all of the above are not for regular drops in game. they
       only regard flipped items (buy low, sell high).
       these are by no way the guild's rules or anything. so nobody has
       to (or should feel to) agree on any of it. they are just some
       rules that were unwritten and followed by some of us.
       the purpose of why we do it like this is to keep the market
       value stable. eventually everything (for a reasonable price)
       sells, hence no need to leap ahead of a guildie and lower the
       prices unnecessarily. (again, only our thoughts. does not oblige
       to all.)
       if any member wants to be a part of this "gentlemen's code"
       please let me know so i can update this topic and present your
       names. also if you have any questions feel free to ask me or any
       other member of this pact. we will do our best to enlighten you
       :D
       PS: i wont add anyone without them telling me to do so. also if
       some one agrees and then acts differently (on purpose) i will
       remove their name.
       thank you...  :)
       Update: just wanted it to be known that there is no rule for
       Minimum (High) Bid prices. due to the AH bug the past few weeks
       the importance of setting a low Min Value is more important than
       ever. yet it's always a risk to drop the value to a point where
       some one can just bid on it, leaving your item on the AH for
       days. every member of this pact may put their minimum value to
       whatever they choose. no need to match it up.
       AH Pact members:
       * Tasslehoff
       * Iyon
       * Nelo
       * Melian

       100% agreed.
       Creating price wars within the guild is counter-productive. All
       sellers lose, as the prices are driven lower and posting fees
       accumulate.
       Excluding the enchantment dupers, our guild appears to be the
       most active on the dragon server AH. Thus, we can and often do
       control the market. We should use this to our advantage.
       Some related advice: don't flood the market w/ something (like
       enchantments). You'll (1) drive the cost down and (2) likely be
       undercut and thus pay more in posting fees. Sell 1 at a time
       for the more expensive (40k+) stuff.
       Can we also use this thread to post pictures of guildies who
       undercut us?   ;D
