Typical Sunday summer weather here 🙈. Yesterday was
quite profitable with a £380 plus net profit on the day. Back to
normal today me thinks. Bit of brekkie then sort out my smalls
drawer( loads of socks etc that I’ll never fit in again) then a
few leisurely drinks in the bowler. Only walk round there to
boost my steps😉. Enjoy yourselves whatever you do today

Good on ya Gil, nice bit of pocket money there. ;)
Hi guys, a nice day with temp of 21c so time spent int garden
pulling weeds that I poisoned last week. Also trimmed some
ground cover that was creeping a bit too much and getting
underfoot. I sacked my home help this morning as they aren't
reliable in attending, different time of arrival every time when
its supposed to be a fixed time and didn't even turned up today,
not even a courtesy call so I will now find another home help
company hoping that they are more reliable. Prats. >:(

Hi guys, not a bad day here, and things are cooling down nicely.

Not much of a ‘help’ when there’re not there, Vince, good luck

Maureen came to me yesterday saying that, ‘somehow the (one and
only) car key had got locked inside the car’, so now I can
include car breaking to my list of skills ;D
I’m away to the doctor this morning for the results of my tests,
I don’t expect anything unusual?

Good win, Gil... onya mate. Vince in a punishing mood .. first
the weeds, then the help... way to go... abysmal drop off in
standards across many sectors. Oriental soup tonight with damper
and wow. Puff good luck with the car, mate. Always had
motorcycles so the worst was losing my gear shift stuck in 5th A

Morning, think the suns playing ping pong here? After yesterdays
no show.it’s nice here today. Looks like we’re a family at war
here again, not a clue how or when it started. I just take and
roll with life as it comes! Linda and “her” offspring etc on the
other hand fire off at the smallest thing. Days like this, I
miss my expensive but enjoyable Monday afternoon excapes with my
old frugal friend. Oh well I’ll claim neutrality and hope I
don’t get caught in the crossfire. Keep safe all

G'Day fellas, another not too bad a day with a top temp of 21c.
so a bit of pottering and sweep up in the garden. Not much to
do just now so sitting on the patio with a coffee and my book
sounds like a good idea.

Keep you head down, Gil, hope things sort themselves out.
Sounds like a good day, Vince :)
When we bought this house, what was to be the annex bedroom was
below ground level, so during the renovation we had a wide
trench dug to facilitate a window, albeit rather high, the view
from this window is the other side of the trench, a few tree
tops and a bit of sky. So my next project it to try to brighten
things up in this bedroom, first tidy up the trench, which is
mainly uneven rock, this need levelling a bit, then throw cement
at it, like a render, and finally paint it, simple, eh ::)

Good advice, Vince, but, although I would never admit it to
Maureen, I quite enjoy getting my teeth stuck into a decent job,
and this one is turning out bigger than first expected.
The rocks in the trench are soft and shale like, making them
very loose & unstable, so I’m having to build a sort of wall up
against it all first, and so far it’s looking not bad.
I won’t strain myself of course, start late, finish early and
have plenty of breaks ;D
We’re away out to a pub quiz tonight, maybe in line for the
booby prize ::)
