Quickly grabbing the attention of the gang, and fleeing toward
nowhere exactly.
This is an adverbial clause. The whole thing, though long,
qualifies as one big adverb, not a complete sentence. You could
make it a sentence by saying
Quickly grabbing the attention of the gang, {he fled} toward
nowhere exactly.
You get it?
