Favorite horror games/movies?

I love horror games to death. They're so much fun... to watch. I
love playthroughs of them a ton, or especially watching other
friends like Laurin play them.
Some of my favorite, though, are most indie titles, the big AAA
titles don't do it for me. My favorites are Amnesia: The Dark
Descent, The Cat Lady, Corpse Party(that one actually had me
paranoid for days), and probably Haunting Ground and Rule of
Rose.
Movies I adore, too, but they're less fun for me because I don't
get to see anyone suffer trying to go through it. (wow that
sounds absolutely horrible Blue stop) But I do really love The
Grudge/Ju-on, um, White: The Curse of the Melody/Melody of the
Curse[I don't remember], and... some others I cannot remember, I
will think on it. The Orphanage is amazing, too. ;u;

Oooh, Corpse Party! I'm sort of in the middle of watching a
playthrough of that online. I think they're a bit of the way
through chapter 3? So far it doesn't seem too scary, but maybe I
should be on the lookout now. O.o
I haven't actually played it myself, but my favourite would
probably be The Witch's House. Because the ending and its
repercussions broke my brain.

I think I have an obsession with survival horror games, so I
play a TON of them. My favorite series is probably Fatal Frame
for it's story and actual scares (Asian ghosts are just a pile
of giant no for me). I also really love Haunting Ground, Rule of
Rose that Blue is currently making me play while I [s]suffer[/s]
and she watches, Resident Evil, Silent Hill, and Clock Tower 3!
There are probably more because I have a serious problem, but
those are my main titles.
As for horror movies, my favorite is probably The Haunting? It
can be a bit corny, but when it gets scary, it's scary. (Dead
ghost children? Uh, no.) I also really love The Ring and crappy
horror movies that belong on the five dollar movie shelf. (They
are so dumb, but I have a problem. Like P2. That is a dumb
movie, but I love it.)

I LOVE that game so much. ;u; It's so great! Which playthrough
are you watching? It may not scare you, really, mostly it was me
and I went and read the mangas and stuff and it just didn't sit
well with me. (More on a deeper, subconscious level I dunno how
to explain it.)

not go and look for the manga afterwards, that would probably be

UGH YES CRY'S PLAYLIST that's the one I saw. ;u; I really like
Cry, I recommend his playthrough of The Cat Lady. Laurin and I
obsessively waited for them to come out when he was uploading
them.

Aw yeah, I love The Grudge/Ju-on - even though those movies
scare the skin off me. Same goes for The Ring/Ringu. Years later
and I still freak out when the tv does that flicker thing.

to pop in here.
<3 Cry's playthroughs are awesome. I watched most of Corpse
party & other stuff. I watched Pewdie for most of the indie
horror things though. (Witches house, paranormal, I'm scared,
etcetcetc.)
Just. Yesyesyes. I want to play a lot of things but I never feel
like digging for them. I also used to do Fatal Frame 2
playthroughs on livestream because playing by myself freaks me
out so badly I get really anxious. x__x but yes. I love the
fatal frame series of games the most out of everything, and am
intrigued by silent hill.
As far as horror movies go, you name it, I've seen it. I have
watched almost everything decent on netflix, and a bunch of
various things off of asian drama sites, and a dash of general
american/foreign horror. The grudge, the ring, one missed call,
White, Yoga, Dumplings, Muoi(decent), the exorcist, etcetc.
I am just going to sit in this thread happily.

@Blue & Kayla Cry's playthroughs are fantastic. I've watched his
playthroughs of Ib and Mad Father as well. I will have to look
into The Cat Lady after I finish with Corpse Party!

Fatal Frame has to be my favorite horror game series. I tried to
play Haunting Ground once but miserably failed at it. I was
hiding under the bed waiting for the monster thing to leave, and
my friend said it was safe, so I got out, and the monster came
back EVEN THOUGH SHE SAID IT WAS SAFE ARGLKSDJLKS
Oh, and I really like Amnesia and want to actually play it, but
for now I'll just have to watch playthroughs of it. (Mangaminx's
is my favorite even though I'm pretty sure she misses a lot of
things)
I also love all of those pixel horror rpgs that have been
popular lately. c: Witch's House, Crooked Man, Mad Father, etc.
Even though I suck at all of them. A lot.
As for horror movies, I don't really watch enough of them to
have a favorite. Like, the last one I watched was Saw and that
was several months ago. xD I do like The Exorcist, though. Pea
soup and all.
